I bought Falcon just a bit ago but will be also purchasing Halion 6 next week, I like the concept so much, I think they are both good and complimentary. With its all-in-one production capabilities, excellent samples and synths, it can easily guide you into your next musical masterpiece. I for one happen to really like HALion Sonic 3. That being said I really like these hybrid synths as they can cover so much ground in one plugin, and crossing samples with synths makes for some really creative sound design possibilities. If you want more customization, scripting, sampling, and other added features, I recommend HALion 6. Halion looks like it has better wavetable manipulation like Zebra, while Falcon has 4-op FM, pluck, noise, drum synth, and of course the IRCAM granular modes. The suggested retail price for HALion Sonic 3 is 249.99. The suggested retail price for HALion 6 is 349.99. HALion 6 offers all the tools required to make and export LUA scripted instruments for use with it and its playback-only little brother, HALion Sonic 3, hopefully heralding the start of a Kontakt-style soundware marketplace into which developers can launch their own graphically rich custom libraries like those that come with the software.

The UVI synth samples are done very well. The HALion 6, HALion Sonic 3 and Absolute 3 full retail versions will be available from resellers and through the Steinberg Online Shop from February 9, 2017. sfz and of course it imports native UVI libraries. gig, exs24 and so on, and comes with a 40GB sample library, while Falcon only has.
Falcon has some great features for laying out samples like "auto extend ranges" and what not. I don't know Halion's sampling capabilities, but from what I've seen they are very comprehensive.
